SCS Global Services Announces Hire of New Director of Training

Worldwide certification body SCS Global Services (SCS) is proud to welcome Margaret Kolk as its Director of Training. In this role, Ms. Kolk will lead the company's diverse training programs to ensure top quality service delivery and growth, starting with the expansion of its highly successful food safety training offerings.

Ms. Kolk is a lifelong food safety professional with extensive experience in training, auditing, and consulting across the food supply chain. She returns to SCS, where she designed and managed the company's original food safety auditing programs for SCS retail clients and their suppliers. Ms. Kolk was formerly the Manager of Technical Training for Ann Arbor, Michigan-based NSF International.

"I've come full circle, having started my career in food safety with SCS, and I appreciate the opportunity to return to be a part of the exciting growth and expansion of the Food and Agriculture Division's Training Department," said Ms. Kolk.

As an approved training provider for GFSI standards, including SQF and BRC, and a certified trainer for Seafood HACCP and Produce Safety, Ms. Kolk has developed and implemented HACCP-based food safety programs for a host of major food processing and retail facilities. She also has decades of experience designing, developing, and delivering accredited courses in HACCP, Advanced HACCP, GMPs, and Internal Auditing.

Ms. Kolk holds a B.S. in Food Science and Nutrition from San Jose State University and a B.A. in Management from Pierce College, as well as certifications in food safety, instructional design, and technical writing.
